Version v1.5.1 of the PAScal calculation software for verifying functional safety (EN/IEC 62061, EN ISO 13849-1) is now available. The main focus for this version was to improve the libraries in terms of data format, import, export and options for illustrating real components in all their diversity.
New functions and special features
This version supports the import of libraries in Sistema format. Adapting the internal data structure also brings a number of other benefits:
- For example, it's no longer necessary to split a component into several different library entries because multiple data records can be included for different types of usage.
- As each component can contain data records based on a particular version, it's also possible to include components whose performance data varies during the course of their lifecycle.
- With the new Version v1.5.1 it is possible to include components with general fault exclusion. As a result, components can generally be included for documentation purposes, even though they do not contribute towards the calculation in the safety functions.
- The libraries can be automatically updated online.
- Users of earlier versions do not require a new licence key in order to use the new version.
